Over a long period Uta Hassler’s scientific reflexions have defined future topics of building culture: Modification of existing buildings instead of focusing on new buildings and maintenance of exemplary buildings.

Uta Hassler is honoured with the medal of the Schelling Prize for Architectural Theory 2006.
